Supporting Veterans. Strengthening stability. Creating a home.
The John Howard Society, PEI Veterans Homelessness Program supports veterans who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness by helping them access safe, stable housing and the supports they need to move forward.
We recognize that homelessness can be the result of complex and interconnected challenges. Veterans may face barriers related to housing affordability, employment, income, mental wellness, social isolation, family relationships, or accessing community resources.
Our program takes a person-centred approach, working alongside each veteran to understand their circumstances, identify their goals, and develop a practical plan for stability.

Our team works collaboratively with veterans and community partners to coordinate services and reduce barriers. When appropriate, we connect participants with specialized organizations and resources that can address their unique needs.
Every veteran’s experience is different. We believe effective support begins with listening, building trust, and recognizing the strengths and experiences each person brings.
Our approach is respectful, collaborative, and focused on practical solutions. We meet veterans where they are and work at a pace that supports their individual goals. The ultimate aim is not simply to find housing, but to help create the foundation for lasting housing stability, wellbeing, and community connection.
